"for the sake of artists who get crushed and quit".
If nothing else, it will at least be therapeutic for me to vent.

I recently went with a friend to an Arts Tune Up seminar in Los Angeles.
There were 10-11 tables in a meeting room. Each table had a sign posted

We visited San Francisco while on vacation. There was a very fast drop in temperature as we neared the city. 55 degrees, wind, drizzle. Thankfully we were staying one hour south where it was 80 degrees and clear.

One of my paintings sold to the manager of the Hyatt hotel and another to an interior designer.

This year the amount of participating artists more than tripled that of last year's tour. We were very fortunate to get an interview with the A.V. Press, a major newspaper in our area. Then much to everyone's surprise we made the front page! Free advertising; I like it.

I'm currently obsessed with artichoke blossoms. They lose that blue glow under incandescent lights. Looks more violet.

It was well worth the 1,400 mile roundtrip drive to Ashland Oregon.  

The artists teaching workshops were Chris Hopkins, Frank Ordaz, Dennis Lewis and Tim Solliday. This conference was specifically targeted for Christians who paint and want to create fine art to impact our culture in a positive way.

We sat and talked awhile and I found out that he wanted a better pillow. I said I'd drop one off at his 'camp'.At home I grabbed a pillow, the first Ralph portrait and reading glasses.
